The organization of any event with international participation requires a significant investment in terms of time and money. However, its success largely depends on the quality of the interpreters’ work and technical support. They are responsible for conveying all content to participants and facilitating communication and understanding among everyone involved.

Based on the type of event, you can choose from the following types of interpretation:

Simultaneous Interpretation: The interpreter translates the original speech in real-time. It is the most dynamic and fluid type of interpretation, suitable for most events. This type of interpretation requires appropriate technical facilities (such as a booth, receivers, sound system) and is typically used in 80% of occasions.

Simultaneous Interpretation with Portable Equipment («Wireless»): This type of interpretation is ideal for guided tours (technical visits, inspections, cultural visits, etc.) or meetings with a small number of participants. The interpreter stands next to the speaker and delivers their translation through a microphone to listeners who use receivers.

Whispered Interpretation: In this mode of simultaneous interpretation, the interpreter positioned next to the listener whispers the speaker’s messages in real-time, without the need for technical equipment.

Consecutive Interpretation: In this mode, the interpreter translates the original message after the speaker has finished speaking. If the speech is lengthy, the speaker typically pauses periodically to allow the interpreter to provide their translation. To ensure accurate reproduction of their words, the interpreter takes notes during the original speech. Consecutive interpretation is commonly used in bilateral meetings, banquets, press conferences, media interviews, etc.

The work of an interpreter requires a very high level of concentration, so after about 30 minutes, a simultaneous interpreter needs to take a break to regain their initial focus. For this reason, interpretation teams consist of two interpreters per language, who alternate every half-hour. This rotation ensures optimal quality of interpretation throughout the entire event.

In addition to having a perfect command of their working languages, an interpreter must master the techniques of each interpretation mode and possess broad general knowledge, as well as specialized knowledge in various fields. Interpreters at RIV have all undergone a rigorous selection process, ensuring the highest standards of quality, professionalism, and professional ethics.

This is one of the most common questions about interpretation. The answer is clear: considering the added value and guarantee provided by professional interpreters, they are not expensive. The success of many events largely depends on the quality of interpreters. Poor interpretation quality can undermine all the organizational efforts put into an event. Moreover, the work of RIV interpreters goes beyond interpretation itself; it includes all the necessary interpretation and audiovisual equipment for your event. This ensures that all organizers can confidently choose the best interpretation mode and a superb group of professionals for their events.

To achieve optimal results, it is essential for there to be good collaboration between RIV and organizers. Preparation is a fundamental element of our staff’s work. Therefore, organizers should provide all available information in advance, which will always be handled confidentially.
